Sometimes I have a problem when viewing the contents of one of my disk drives that causes it to fail or at least display the 'Not Responding' error message and have close it - this is not a problem caused by Winstep, but when it happens the "System Tray" that I have running an my Xtreme shelf stops displaying anything it just comes up blank. If I exit Xtreme and restart it, the display of tray items returns, however in a strange order. I'm using Vista Ultimate and have Winstep 10.9 replacing everything from MS. Any ideas what may be causing this?

When you close the hard drive folder, what you are actually doing is killing Explorer (which Windows should restart automatically, but is not happening in your case, apparently?). Winstep Xtreme is not a shell replacement and thus depends on Explorer as the shell. The system tray is a function of Explorer - when you kill Explorer, you kill the tray.

When Explorer re-starts, not all programs will re-register their system tray icons with it, and, those who do, will not do it in the same order of boot time.
