xiandi, those look really great. i've downloaded both to test out.

Thank you, let me know if you find any bugs in them. I'm still new at skinning Winstep, and I still have plenty to learn about all the coding in those files, lol.

I cannot view those links. I was banned from that site a while ago for reporting someone ripping off my work there. Instead of taking down the work, they banned me.

o.k. i'll upload the two theme so you cam look at them. about your themes i tried changing the .zip to .xtreme like i've done with xtreme themes in the past but neither work that way. since you were a member of vc once, and since you create at least winstep themes i'm going to assume you know how to install these.

Oh, don't feel bad, I was permanently banned from there too for announcing a new release of the *free* version of the Nexus dock, lol. I had done previous announcements there before and I always did them in the proper place, and I didn't even get as much as a warning (or a reply to my request for clarification).

Contrast this attitude to that of forums like WinMatrix, Wincustomize, CreativX, etc, who welcome these news with open arms.

Seems whomever is running that forum is an idiot. :D

EDIT: Oops, I thought you meant SevenForums.

the owner of creativx is a greedy sob. screwed up with about a dozen of us then demanded we apologize. has a nasty habit of stealing others work, reworking it slightly and calling it his.

i'll agree with you about the owner and the staff of sevenforums. aholes the lot. god forbid you say anything bad about microsour.

7 Zip will work if I rename them to .zip but always reports one image as being broken... strangely enough it's always the same image (think it was one of the arrow images) 0;

I did not use 7zip to convert them. I had to restore the file association of zip files to use the native 'unzipper' that comes with Windows 7.

Once that file association is restored (see the link I posted earlier for how to do that), I can rightclick on the zip file and there is an option now listed to "convert to xtreme' listed in the popup menu.

i installed winzip 16, ran the reg file from sevenforums, restarted, and still not getting the option to convert in the winzip menu.

I have no idea why it's not working for you, it worked like a charm for me.

As for those 2 themes I posted, the Outlander one has been updated and is now an xtreme file. The Metropolite one, just unzip it and drop the folder in the Winstep themes folder.

Edit: wait, I just reread your statement... The option to convert will not be in the Winzip menu. It will be in the pop up menu when you rightclick the zip file itself.

Edit2: One thing to note, the zip file cannot be a zipped folder with all the contents in it...it needs to be just the contents zipped together.

yeah thanks i think you solved the problem. you have the outlander folder zipped, that was the problem. i haven't dealt with a theme that way in a long time so i forgot only the content can be zipped. thanks for the reminder. i still didn't get convert to xtreme in the menu, but no big deal just renamed it and outlander is working fine. as for metropolite the drag and drop worked perfectly.

I have not seen the theme, but I sent Greg an email to get the graphics.

So, you want it set up just like Ultimate Clean? Same type of modules and shelf, etc.?
