 Post subject: Is a delay in Winstep support normal?

Hi all,

I've been having trouble getting anything from Winstep support with a problem I'm having with my license key, and just want to check if anyone else is having similar issues?

I've sent a couple of emails to support@winstep.net and left a couple of PM's on the forum for Jorge, but this has been over the last two or three weeks and so far I've not heard back from anyone?

I don't want to keep emailling and messaging as I know it'll only clog inbox's, but just a bit concerned I'm not hearing back?

I'm new to the forum / community so I appreciate it could be normal for it to take a while to get a problem resolved, for all I know Jorge is trying to run the whole Winstep industry single-handed and like the rest of us has a mad, crazy life to live as well so a delay in repsonse is normal?

If that's the case I'm cool with that, but don't want to sit hear waiting if really I should have heard back by now and there's something I should be doing?! :-)

Can anyone confirm what the experience generally is? If the delay I'm experiencing is normal that's cool, this isn't meant as a moan, I'm happy to be patient (although I do miss my docks!!! :-D) just need reassurance what the norm is?

Actually, in the past you'd consider yourself unlucky if you waited for more than 24 hours for a reply.
Lately, however, Jorge has been away for days and sometimes weeks, so yeah, that is normal, for the time being. I don't know exactly what's going on, I doubt anyone else in here does, but the fact is that Jorge is not checking the forum and his messages for long-ish periods at a time.
That will also explain the spam you currently see in this room, in the form of "vance miller is a spammer Norway", "vance miller is a spammer Manchester" and "vance miller is a spammer Hell" threads.
I guess that's all I can say for now.

Hey Skagon,

Thanks for that, that's all I was looking for really, just some reassurance I'm not alone and there's not some other way people usually contacted Jorge, you know, roll one sleeve up, stand one one leg, cluck three times like a chicken while balancing a hamster on your head and he'll send you an answer..... :-)

Poor guy's gonna come back to a full inbox I would imagine! :(

vance miller is a spammer, spam, oh, that's a shame, I was looking for a new one....... :lol:
