Hi there,

I hope your well. I currently reformat my pc, if you can kindly email my paid Activation code, and step by step process on how to instal and register your product again. I stil have 11 months to renew my yearly sub.

I don't know exactly what you want, but the title of your post is misleading, if not offensive.
It's been 7 days since what?
In your post, you indicate that you want the licence key re-sent to you, because you formatted your PC. That is understandable, but hardly justifies a title like that.
If your forum registration details are not the same as your purchase details, you will need to provide a code for Jorge to know who you are. Also note that the licence can only be sent to the purchase e-mail address.

Finally, I have to point out that users are responsible for making backups of the activation key (or e-mail) as well as older versions of the software.
While it's not a problem to request a key to be re-sent, the recent flood of such requests is not sitting well with me.
I mean, what do you guys do? Delete the e-mail with the activation key of a product you paid money for?

In any case, the proper people have been notified of your request.

i did send a message directly with my email address. and I still didnt get any response

i renew my winstep account last october

Sorry,

My pc Crashed, lost everything, and end up formating it to factory setting, so I have to re-download programs, including Winstep. I Thought,I Saved the registration/activation code in my folders, I looked and searched but I can't find it. I end up sending 3 emails (using the purchase email)to support with in last 7 days, regarding with my request. but no luck.

I did message the Winstep admin with the purchase email information. let me know if you have any question , Sorry again.

Hi,

Until now I have not receieved anything from support, it's been over a week, If I only read the forum first before purchasing and renewing item. I would probably not bought it. It seems like, its been on going issue when it comes to support, and how customer will not get anything for weeks, even for months. I sent letter to the Administrator including the purchase emailed I used, I sent direct email to support using the purchasing email 3x and no luck

I will wait patiently, but if no update, I will just go ahead and call my bank to reverse the current renewal purchase I made last October and take my money back.

And I will for sure tell my friends not to renew there's wintstep. besides I was the one recommend this website. It's a nice program, but lack of customer care.

I have contacted Jorge once more today. He assured me that he's been sending out licences on time.
Now, maybe, just *maybe*, he misunderstood me previously when I said "there's a guy that wants his licence re-sent" and missed the "RE-sent" part.
I don't know what kind of notifications he gets, or where those e-mails go, but in any case, I told him only seconds ago that you want a licence RE-sent, made sure he got it, so... if he hasn't already, he will re-check and re-send it to you later today.

For the record, I merged the two topics; you already made one, there is no point in creating yet another one, other than to make impressions.
I know that you are probably frustrated, but the truth is, licences ARE being sent out normally and the software IS working as it should.
There *might* be some delay in requests concerning re-sending old licences, but that's probably due to irrelevant factors and not because Winstep has shut down (which it has NOT).

For one last time, I want to point out two things:

1. When making a purchase, make sure the e-mail address you use is one that CAN receive automated e-mails. Mail accounts that require sender verification or interaction, over-zealous spam filters and other paranoid spam-prevention mechanisms will only make sure that your licence will either not be delivered at all, or will end up in a spam folder or even worse, being deleted.

2. Users are required to store their licence key and/or e-mail, as well as copies of the last installer that works with their licence.
Yes, it's no problem requesting a re-send, but the rule is, you have to take care of the licences yourselves.

I know it sounds like I'm being an arse, but speaking from experience, not even Microsoft will give you your old licence key (nor a new one) if you call them and say "I've lost my activation key". The reply you get is "buy a new one, we'll give you a discount". Winstep on the other hand, WILL re-send you your licence key, so just be patient.

Sending license everyday ? But I have not received any email regarding with my request, yes I'm frustrated because I paid for it , and customer support is none existence, the renewal cost is not much , but hey I'm entitled I have 11 months left in my renewal ,and I did all I can,to get help from this website , but I'm not getting anything , my renewal didn't take long ,it was sent to me a day after buying it .

I have proof that I contact support many times posted in the forum and I have a copy of the purchase date, so I should be able to reverse the charges, will definitely not recommend this site to people I know.

It's more than 7 days since I contacted support about this issue , I have not received any reason directly from them acknowledging my issue nor why it's taking long for them to resend or get back at me .

I checked my mail every hour . Still none


P.S I was able redownload window 7 ultimate digital when I ask Microsoft for my serial code and took them less than 48 hours to respond . And for you to say that big companies don't honor re-sending purchase, they do .. Except your company . I want my money back if this company is not going to help me, It's been 2 weeks no response from your support or your administrator acknowledging my request.

@chucky: seriously? After all this time, you really believe that? Do you have such a short memory span, mate? Pity...

@andro: He is not my boss, dude. I just volunteered to keep the forum clean of spam posts and that's the extent of my "obligations". Anything else I do around here, I only do when and if I feel like it.
Like notifying him if there's any requests or problems from other people in here. What he does after that, it's up to him. I'm not his employee, nor his mother (nor father for that matter) to nag him into doing things, or force, order, blackmail nor plead. Winstep is his business, not mine. I have nothing to gain or lose, whether Winstep becomes bigger than Microsoft or collapses on itself.
So... just bear that in mind, before you snap at me. And that goes for both of you. Show some respect, I'm not getting paid to put up with bad attitudes.
I am here to keep the forum clean, and that also means that I also won't keep posts that are suspicious or slanderous. Since Jorge decided to take a long vacation, there are lots of people that will (and have) try to grab Winstep's clients away, by making posts like "don't buy anything here, it doesn't work" or "you won't get your licence key" etc. That is just slander and I won't have it, whether you guys like it or not. Also, some of the 'regulars' have become bitter and will gladly do more damage than even the 'rivals'... again, I won't have that, whether you like it or not. Remain civil, stick to the truth and stop whining, swearing and generally being offensive.
Simple, really and nothing unlike the terms you agreed to when you signed up here.

Slender do you know what it means ? I'm not accusing him with anything , I'm simply talking about my 2weeks experience trying to reach customer support or him directly which is none existence .. It didn't take him long to email me back in regards my first issue on "how to renew my subscription " .

I didn't say anything offensive, everything i type here comes from my 2weeks experience with this website/company whether you like it or not , and reading other issue by other bloggers. Lack of customer support or customer care

You said his sending activation everyday from your previous response ( which for more than 2weeks I haven't received anything) and now your saying he took a long vacation . . So what kind of customer support does he offer for people who buys the product?

Your the one who mention about Microsoft doesnt offer resending serical code, I dealt with microsoft couple of times ,and most recent is getting my digital download and serial code for windows ultimate which I purchase over a year, because my system crash I lost everything and I have to reformat my pc to its factory setting, the same reason why im writing to winstep. And you accuse me that it's my fault for not saving it. I normally Save all my fav software download and I thought I did with winstep.

So why would I not tell my friends who bought winstep because of me,telling how creative the software is and it's functions, and about my recent experience with support? Like what I said renewal fee is not much, but I think it's ridiculous to wait for 1 month just to get the activation resend to my purchase email. I will not wait that long . I will call the bank soon if i dont get anything from support and reverse the charges because the service is good for 12 months so far my renewal have 11months and 1/2 . I'm gladly to print this forum and your terms and conditions and handy it over to the bank. And I'll be happy to pass this information to my friends who also bought the product.

I said, "he's not my boss", not the other way around.
Like my colour indicates, I am a moderator. On a volunteer basis. I think this is pretty much obvious.

About your experience, I am sorry but I have your word against his. You say you never received anything, he tells me "I've taken care of all licence requests". Bring yourself in my position; what would you believe?

No, and I never said you did. I was talking generally.
About the other posters, I am quite certain that most of them aren't customers at all; just people from rival companies trying to cause trouble.

Indeed, he is sending licence keys every day. I have verified this through people I trust, from this forum.
The fact that he's taken a long vacation is not something new, it's been known and discussed in here at great length.
The product he's selling is very stable, though, and customer support is rarely needed, as you yourself can see from the forum posts. However, that is not my problem; what kind of customer support he provides, is his choice if it's the best in the world or none at all.

I don't know what they do now with digital downloads, but my dealings with Microsoft in the past have been horrendous. In short, Microsoft will not give you any code for Windows boxes you've bought, if you tell them you lost it. I've even had a Windows key blacklisted out of the blue, for no apparent reason, so all of a sudden I was told I had to buy another one. So, no, Microsoft as far as I know is NOT to be trusted, in no way.

You can tell your friends anything you want.
Basically, because of my own personal history, I take a very dim view of anybody who comes here with the line "I will tell my friends...". To me it sounds like boasting and chest-thumping. A bit like saying "do you know who I am?".
So, please. You're not threatening anybody, really.
By the way, if you want to take a print-out of this forum to a bank, go right ahead. In the fine print of this and any other forum, you will find the clause that says something like "posts in this forum do not represent the owner of the forum and views do not represent the views of the owner" etc. So anything written in here, has absolutely no legal standing, not even in court, let alone in a... bank.

My view, if I take the innocent scenario, is that your case is just the unfortunate exception. Something happened and Jorge could not get your details or you his response, or so.
There is no plot here to steal your $20 and not send you your code (which he did in the first place).
