Couple of questions:

1. When you drag the icon, do you see the a 'ghost' image of the icon being moved under the mouse pointer? If nothing happens when you left click and drag, open Shelf Properties -> Behavior -> Unselect 'Lock icons and prevent them from being dragged'

2. If you do see the ghost icon when dragging, do the items in the Shelf move around as you hover over them to make room for the new item?

3. If you Right Click on the actual tab name (i.e.; 'Docu pgms') and select 'Tab Properties' from the context menu that pops up, does the Tab Type say 'Regular Tab' or something else? If something else, that's your problem.

Thanks Jorge! Very valuable information. I just made a tab that is a "Regular Tab" so now I can arrange the icons I chose to put in it any way I want.

BTW, I'm glad that you made the WorkShelf (something I knew about already) so the icons can simply be dragged from one tab to another (I use the Drag Lock feature on my mouse that makes it easier) without removing it from its original location in case the user wants it in both tabs. You are one smart cookie! There is so much to Winstep Xtreme! Every time I think I know enough about it to make my user experience good, I eventually learn something else that makes it even better!

BTW, for anyone that decides to drag the icon from a WorkShelf tab to a "Regular Tab" in the WorkShelf, be aware that you can only open the folder. You will not be able to drag and drop a file into that icon without first reassigning the properties directly to the folder of your choice.

I assumed that when I dragged the icon to the new "Regular Tab" I made that I could drag and drop into it without doing anything since it's part of the same process/application (WorkShelf to Workshelf) unlike dragging an icon from the WorkShelf to the Dock.

Jorge, I'm curious. Is this just the normal nature of how icons work, or is this the way you designed it? Please explain and excuse my ignorance on this matter.
