Yeah, but build 985 responded in seconds.

Again, I tried it with a single account and it still failed with a timeout.

Well, that is the nature of IMAP accounts: they will make you tear your hair out. One minute they can be working fine, the next they're timing out left and right and you can't get any work done.

To test here what would happen to the next account check if the account before it timed out, I added both my old and new IMAP accounts to the Email Checker (remember, the old was timing out before). Well, what do you know? Suddenly the old server started working properly again and I got a lightning fast response (I can monitor the server messages back and forth from the IDE).

Well, after a bit more of trying I got the old server to timeout again, and still the Email Checker worked properly, it timed out then proceeded to check the new IMAP server, which gave a quick response.

So everything seems to be working properly now in terms of the Email Checker. My guess is that the problem at this time is your IMAP server - keep manually checking to see if you finally get a response in time.

Anyway, are both the accounts you're monitoring IMAP?

Yeah, both accounts are IMAP.

Now I'm happy.

Told ya.

IMAP should be destroyed with extreme prejudice. Or, at least, all bad implementations of the protocol. :wink:

Seems like the old Winstep IMAP server is working properly for now too, so I'm taking advantage of this window of opportunity to catch up on the support email that has been left hanging for the past 3 days. Sigh.
