Most of time when I run particular application via its icon in the dock, very often the flashing/blinking effect does not stop even after I quit the application.

It is really annoying have to click the icon again to run the application again and then to exit again to stop it.

It looks like random pattern but there must be some reason some application sometimes stay flashing, requiring attention when they should not..
It happens only with Nexus Dock not with standard Windows 10 bar/panel.

Is there any way to block some or all the flashing effects?

That's not normal behavior at all.

However, it's a bit unclear if what is playing is the 'Attention' effect, the 'Launch' effect or the 'Mouseover' effect.

Try the following: choose a different and very distinctive effect for each of those actions, then please let me know which type of effect keeps playing.

It is attention effect (Sonic Boom) played just after I exit certain application (not before), then me repeating running and exiting the application fixes that usually.
It happens only with certain application (e.g. Spotify, Lingea Lexicon).

Also I experienced some trouble with "Pin to dock", when such pinnned application threw errors/exceptions. So I had to use "Insert New Dock" way.

Some time ago, when running dock as admin I experienced spontaneous changing icons (in time) to question marks after longer intensive using of computer.

At thit time I do not remember which application I have pinned to dock which way, however the attention effect during exiting plays only sometimes and only at specific applications.

I like Nexus Dock, but I had to overcome few troubles such as bouncing main application window next to the dock bar caused by icon size larger than certain points. Chrome browser window thumbanails not clicable/switchable and so on.
At this time only attention effect is the problem, but less then before, when it caused also that bouncing/ windows shaking.

Are those UWP (Metro) apps?

Can you please provide a (LOT) more detail on this please? E.g.; way to reproduce, etc...

Was that change permanent (my guess is that it wasn't)? Did it ever happen again?
