I really did not wish to create an entire new thread for this.
perhaps it might be worthwhile considering creating a sub-topic "Winstep issues and questions?" I noticed how many of issues and questions there are under multiple individual threads.

ANYWAY

I acknowledge before asking that it may well be my inability to find the correct location for this before I ask.
QUESTION: Is there a setting somewhere that I have missed that allows use per user in Windows? For example, I have Winstep Xtreme and Nexus Ultimate on one computer. When User 1 logs in they get Nexus Ultimate only and when User 2 logs in they only get Winstep Xtreme? (It's fun with BETA's, I have to rename the executable in one of them).

I apologise if this is a dumb question. I found the only way was to turn 'automatically start with Windows' off on both which is becoming tedious to manually start every time and I accept it is possibly my lack of knowing where the correct settings are .

Hello BassdudeNZ...
From what I understand, you're installing Winstep Xtreme and Nexus Ultimate. There's no point, because Winstep Xtreme already includes Nexus Ultimate with all its features, so installing Winstep Xtreme gives you access to all the functionalities (Nexus Ultimate, Workshelf, NextSTART, Modules, Winstep Start Menu Organizer Pro). Installing both would essentially give you two versions of Nexus Ultimate, which might explain the problems you're experiencing.

Anyway, that's just my opinion...

Eh?! What Picco said.

If Xtreme is also installed just DELETE nexus-ultimate.exe from C:\Program Files (x86)\Winstep, do NOT uninstall it as that will remove things from Winstep Xtreme too.

Also, all Winstep applications store settings *per-user*.

Yes, *Settings*. Alas, not themes - would be at least as useful!

No it wouldn't. It would just be wasteful.

OK Jorge already knows the background so your answer Jorge, surprises me.

In Bullet points:

1. Nexus Ultimate runs on my DAW Studio login and I do NOT want Winstep Xtreme running on that login. I did tell you this. And you reckon I ignore you? lol - The main login needs to be as memory free as possible. Nexus Ultimate fits this fine as it uses very little and workshelf is disabled. I only use Nexus. Ultimate is great because it allows multiple Nexus docks light on memory and convenient. Free version does not.

2. It is ultra widescreen with a 5120x1440 resolution.

3. I test multiple drives with Winstep Modules to make sure they scale (It can have up to 26 the way it is configured and has multiple nVme's onboard and plenty of external drives). It also has 128GB RAM and a decent Radeon GPU.

4. I have ANOTHER login which I have told Jorge more than once which is Winstep only purely for the purpose of testing so it does not fuckup my Studio login. I also told him I needed to remove Rocketdock which was good and Nexus Ultimate fitted better, faster and nicer. Which Jorge also knows?

5. I am happy to uninstall Winstep on my DAW computer if you wish and not test so screw the user with more than four drives which I do not have on the others and sorry, I will not have either. I won't be fucking up the only computer that generates any kind of income, sorry. This was for people who download themes I do. I stand to get nothing from any theme I create other than repayment for kindness, which I believe when reuploading is done, is paid in full. I was only considering users who have more than four drives ensuring they scale as intended, but fuck it now. At least i can upload all quickly now and be done with it.

There you go. Annoyed? yeah, a little because I already told you Jorge and have the emails telling you as much. Old story cliche - "I can fuckup and make an ass of myself by myself, I really do not need anyone's help". So if you wish to try and make me look stupid which I am definitely not, do it in your own time please.
Later.. I may upload and not come back this time I do not need this shit, I am too old and too intolerant for it.
