I have had this problem for a couple weeks or so but am just getting around to posting. The internal search command just stopped working; previously it worked fine. I have tried removing and re-adding it to both menus and docks and nothing changes. I click on the icon or menu item and...nothing. Other internal commands seem to work just fine.

Before you ask, I am aware of nothing that I changed or added that may have precipitated this, though with the time that has passed I can't say with certainty that nothing has been changed or added. (Actually, I don't know for sure, but I think the most recent beta may have been released within that time frame. Don't know if that might be someplace to look or not.)

Everything else is working fine, just this one annoying problem.

It wasn't a Winstart problem at all but a Windows problem. For some reason the startup paramater for the Windows search service had been reset from Automatic to Automatic (Delayed). I reset it to Automatic, rebooted and everything is fine.

Why do these things happen????? LOL
