I have created 2 hotspots
Activated by:Left Clicking on Hotspot (Desktop)
Action:Run an Internal Command
Internal Command:My Computer The other is Control Panel

The title window is Desktop and I selected the area.

When click in the area nothing happens in either of them. Any ideas why.
Also is the a limit on how many hotspot you can have on the desktop?

What version of Windows?

Are you hiding the desktop icons?

What happens if instead of left click on desktop you set the hotspot to 'Hotspot Button on the Desktop' ? Do the internal commands work then?

What happens if instead of an internal command you set the desktop hotspot to run an application instead (e.g. calc.exe). Does that work?

I'm using Win 7 pro
I have hidden desktop icons.
Setting it to 'Hotspot Button on the Desktop' it now works.
I'm having a problem removing the label(think thats what it's called) around the start button. In the picture it's the silver square ,the black is the start button.

Can you tell me how to have just the icon.
Thanks

"Label" would be text, I don't think that is what you are referring to.

Changing stuff related to the Start Button in the NextSTART taskbar is not that easy, you will have to edit that theme's configuration files for NextSTART (the .wst file in that theme's folder).

I have achieved this in one theme (atmospherica)but in a copy of the same theme I can't do it .Not sure how I did it.Not by changing the .wst manually.

I have compared the .wst file between the two (all 513 lines) trying to spot the difference but there was none, unless I missed it.
I have made a few adjustments to the .wst file (one at a time) trying to see if anything changes. So can you tell me what line/lines need to be adjusted in the file.

NextSTART caches the current theme, so to see changes after modifying a .wst file you need to load another theme and then *reload* the theme you just modified.
