It seems that the Expand System Tray Button only shows icons that are normally hidden in the system tray, so we can't see icons that are set to "show as always".

Is there a way to show all icons in the system tray, both visible and hidden?

Yawn! Another of the barstewards - isn't it time to bury them, very deeply?!

And another question that's been asked before and not just once IIRC. :|

For posts like this I tend to give them 24 hours to claim they are not a bot (just in case) before banning and deleting their account.

The other two came back today and didn't reply, so I had confirmation they were bots (as if the entries in StopForumSpam were not enough eheh).

LOL! Yeah, give 'em a chance not to disappoint you. Generally, part of my own modus operandum too, though I tend to give 'em just enough rope to hang themselves with also, metaphorically speaking. :P

Nunc usque ad finem bibendum - Now we drink to the [very] end ;)

I am not a spambot. I have no idea that anyone has had this problem before.

Well,, the email address you used to register here is listed as a spam bot on the StopForumSpam website.

As for your problem - as always, you should do a search of the forum for the issue first. Do so now and you'll find your answer.

Glad you talked. You were "!" this close to getting banned, but since there is only one entry with your email address on StopForumSpam and I hadn't given you 24 hours to reply yet I decided to wait.

If you look at the ChelseyCain and GlennWalton posts below yours you'll see that thanks to AI it is getting harder and harder to distinguish humans from bots.

Anyway, here you go:

Important note to Windows 11 22H2 and above users:

Starting with Windows 11 22H2, and mostly for purely cosmetic reasons, Microsoft has begun making changes to tried and tested core functions of Windows that had previously been working fine for decades.

Microsoft has been making many core changes to the Windows taskbar and systray. As a result systray icons can no longer be accessed directly by Winstep applications, and while the systray can still be accessed by the user, system tray icon customization with high resolution icons is currently no longer possible.

Personally I think this was deliberate as they could have left the old code behind (as they did when they started messing with the system tray) but chose not to.

This means individual systray icons can no longer be displayed on docks, etc... the workaround is to use the expand system try button to access the icons in the system tray expansion area and the new "cog" icon next to it to access the panel you get when you click on the volume, net, etc, Windows system icons.

Well, well, well - I suspected as much! Spammer/bot after all. Came on this morning and inserted spam in profile. Banned, but can't of course touch account or email.

Good. We have pages of these buggers that I've banned but their accounts still sit there of course. :(
