i can't find where i can select other sound schemes unless i have the nexus dock up and right click on it, i don't see it in any of the options or menus anywhere else.

Open WorkShelf Preferences. In the Global Prefernces tab, 'Sound Options' section, you can set the sounds you want to specific events. You can then either lock them so they are not changed when you switch themes, or save them as a sound theme via the 'Theme Management' tab (select 'Sound Pak' from the pull up menu at the top first).
