Okay, I'm sure this is a stupid question, but how do I get rid of this big nexus box icon?

I've looked through all the various Nexus dock settings, and I just can't seem to find out how to turn off that dock icon.

What version of Winstep Xtreme are you running?

In v11.6, it is a simple question of right clicking the Nexus control icon and selecting 'Remove from Dock'.

If you are running a old version (I know you registered Xtreme in 2009), that option might not be available to you as it might not have been implemented yet.

I'm using version 11.6

When I right click on that "Nexus box", I don't see an option that says remove from dock. I took a screencap of exactly what I see when I right click on that nexus box:




The weird thing is that when I top edge bump, and that dock pops out, the annoying nexus box just disappears at the same time. Here's a screencap that shows the dock is being displayed and the nexus box is gone:




But as soon as the dock retracts, and goes back up and disappears, the annoying nexus box comes back into view. Here's a screencap:




I think I found a way to make that nexus box go away permanently, within Dock Properties. I think it's the option - "Hide dock control icon". But everytime I tick it and then click "Apply", the ticked checkmark just disappears. No matter what I do, I can't get that box to remain checkmarked. Here's a screencap:

Ok, couple things happening here then:

1. There is a bug with the 'Hide control icon' setting in the Contents tab of the Dock Properties dialog. It simply does nothing - the same setting also exists in the Appearances tab and there is working properly. This bug has been fixed for the next release.

2. I didn't realize the dock in your first screenshot was collapsed. A floating dock when collapsed will *always* show the Nexus control icon, since the only way to un-collapse it is by double clicking the control icon. When un-collapsed, the control icon then disappears (provided the 'hide control icon' setting in the *Appearences* tab of the Dock Properties dialog is enabled).
