I'm curious to know your favorite dock mouse over effects, so please answer the poll above.

Of course, I expect that answers will change a bit when v11.4 is released and you are able to combine most of the other effects with the magnify effect. When that happens, select the effect you are using *with* the magnify effect.

This is my favorite effects list:
1. Heal
2. Water
3. Afterglow
4. Zoom
5. Bounce
6. Sonic boom (this one would be very cool when clicking on items)
I also like the other effects but not as much as the ones above.

For the magnify effect I may suggest to reduce the magnifying area so the main magnified item looks much in front than the items on the sides.

I answered "no effect" because you asked about my favourite dock effect. Both docks I use, are effectless. However, the shelf does have the "sonic boom" enabled. Tell you the truth, I'd like something more subtle than any of the effects, like the "back glow" which I had asked you to make when I first appeared here, in January. That's why I chose "sonic boom" as well: it's the most unobtrusive of all the effects.
If I were to make a list, I'd have to say, in descending order of preference:

sonic boom
wind
heal

flare
magic
zoom

magnify
water
flat magnify
fire
bounce
rock
swing
squish
spin

with the first bunch meaning "I really like", second "they're ok" and third "wouldn't miss them".
Don't get me wrong, though, I do appreciate the work you've done; it's just from a purely utilitarian point of view. Like "would I want to see that on a daily basis, as I work on my computer" - point of view.

They are all pretty cool and great job on designing them, it's just something that I am not interested in and use "no mouseover effect".

While magnify is my most used mouseover effect, I like them all, and use them for different moods, I have many saved prefs that contain different combinations of settings and mouseovers, which I select at various times.

Once I got past the "WOW" factor of some of the effects, I realized I just needed to get to whatever a particular shortcut pointed to. I settled on zoom, as it maintains ts effect until selected or the mouse is moved elsewhere, and is the least distracting.

I wonder what the most popular effect will be now that v11.5 is out and you can combine several of the other dock mouse over effects with it.

And sorry, adding the latest two new mouse over effects seems to have reset the poll.

Oops, sorry to mess up your poll. I mistakenly voted for magnify. I am actually using zoom, although it has some problems right-clicking on system tray icons.

Unfortunately previous voting results were lost when I added the new Teleport effect option to the poll. Then again, now that you can use Magnify with most of the other effects, I just assume that's what most users will do.
