Hi,

Not sure if this is a Winstep problem or Windows, but it seems to have started since installing Winstep. Whenever I am typing and use Shift+A to capitalize a word the curser disappears and I have to click where I am typing to start again. This is very annoying if you forget and have to start over. I have tried disabling Hotspots keys that have that combination but that doesn't work either. If you can help, thanks....

there is no such thing as shift+a to capitalize words. you press and hold the shift key and then press the letter you want capitalized.

Wrote that wrong, I know not to shift+A capitalize. What I meant was Shift to capitalize the letter A, that's when the curser disappears. Sorry for the confusion...

My guess is that you assigned SHIFT + A as they hot key to *something* (either on purpose or by accident) and then forgot about it.

Are you running Winstep Xtreme or Nexus Ultimate?

I'm running extreme, and I checked all the hotspots and disabled all the shortcuts, unless I missed one somewhere.

ok then more than likely you somehow created a keyboard shortcut for something else. i did a search to see if there was anyway to get windows to list all of the keyboard shortcuts a user has and could not find anything. maybe someone else here will have better luck than i did, or know how to do it. in the mean time i'll ask on a couple of forums i belong to if anyone there knows.

First exit NextSTART. See if the problem persists.

If so, exit WorkShelf. See if the problem persists - if it does, it's not caused by Winstep Xtreme.

If not, let me know and we'll continue troubleshooting from there.

The problem appears to be with Workshelf, when I stopped it the problem went. It didn't make any difference when I stopped Nextstart.

**Update**

found the problem with one of the modules, thought I had checked them all. Seems ok now. Thanks....
