 Post subject: Green Saver Options in Nexus Dock

Hi,

please add options green saver in effects tab; I would like to have the possibility to disable the reflection effect when I use notebook in battery mode; thanks!

Why? Icon reflections are cached (unless the icons are animating), so this is a non-issue.

Hi Winstep,

do you mean that when the reflection is active it doesn't decrease the consumption of the battery of notebook?

If you are not using animated icons (which must recalculate the reflection for each frame) then I would say CPU usage is meaningless. The reflection is calculated once and then the same cached reflection image is used until there is a change in the source icon.

Anyway, you can easily toggle icon reflections yourself, either from the Effects right click context menu or the Appearance tab in Preferences.

Hi Winstep,

I spoke of the option "Animate icon reflections so icons appear to be reflecting on water"; yes I know that it can to be disabled but it would be useful an option that allows the auto disable in mode battery, thanks!
