jorge i recently moved a folder from one drive to another because the space on it's drive was getting too tight. to keep everything uniformed i created a shortcut to the folder on it's original drive. i noticed that if i rightclick and hold on the shortcut in that tab on workshelf the contents menu does not popup like it does for folders that are psychically on that drive. i don't know if this is a bug, a over-site, or intentional. thought i would mention it. i did make other shortcuts to other folders and i get the same behavior.

A shortcut in the dock to a shortcut of a folder is not the same thing as adding a shortcut to the folder itself.

Doing what you want means the actual shortcut would have to resolved first to see if it points to a folder or a file. Since resolving shortcuts is a bit time consuming and can sometimes - although very rarely - have unintended secondary effects (such as the Windows Installer popping up!) I'll probably let things stay as they are.

yea i see your point might take longer for the shortcut to resolve itself, than for me to simply click on it and browser to what i want.
