Hi, I'm playing around with your free Nexus (looking at buying the ultimate). But I have one question. How/can you add new modules to nexus and if yes where to you need to install them? I have been using RocketDock for years and its great. But since v2 of it is still not out. Wanted to use something that was more in development, but I have this Comic Book RSS docklet that i want to use with Nexus.

Thanks

I'm not sure if price is an issue for you, but Winstep Xtreme Full Edition is your best bet. There is a free one month trial. It might have what you're looking for.

The developer Winstep (Jorge) will be able to tell you if more modules are available.

Thanks Windy, I have looked at the hole windows shell replacement. Still not found one I really like. Aston, Winsetp, a few of the freeware ones. The Dock is all I really need.

I recently migrated to Winstep Extreme from Stardock and absolutely love this software. I feel it is much better then their dock. Faster, uses almost no system resources and seemingly infinitely configurable.

But it seems that the docklets or as they are called here, modules, seem to be hard coded into Nexus software. I had some great sysstats docklets that I used on Object dock that I can't use here, and I do miss them, but for me, I am overlooking that for the obvious other improvements that Nexus provides. As far as I know there is no way to add second party docklets such as Systats docklets, I would have if I could.

From reading the threads here, it seems that Jorge, who I believe is the sole developer on this project, has had many requests for many modules to add to Nexus and he says he is working on a pile of new ones. I am hoping he comes out with some new ones soon. Or maybe in a future version he could add the ability for us to use third party docklets. [He may have already answered that question.] I have put in my requests for modules I'd like to see in another thread here. In fact I thought of another one yesterday that i will add to that thread right away.

Pardon me for speaking for Jorge, If I have any of this wrong please correct me.

I also have used stardock app in the passed. But i'm sick of all of stardocks stuff. Its very buggy coded and has problems on all systems. Their objectdock v2. Would lock up my system anytime I would be playing a game. Took me like 3 weeks to figure out it was the dumb dock lol.

I'm really liking Winstep dock. It works great and I have all ready added my Garfield comics to my FF RSS reader. So i'm good that way.
