Currently I have my dock set to 60% transparent. But I can't find a setting to make the dock or icons go opaque when I hover the mouse cursor over them. Is this not possible?

Not currently, sorry, but you did give me an idea for a new mouseover effect, so expect to see something like that on a future version. :D

The just-about-to-be-released v12.2 version of Nexus will feature a new GrayScale effect that you will probably like, though.

I don't see a "Like" button anywhere on your post, so consider your posted "Liked". :D

Can't wait for the new version!

Well don't, then.

Assuming you are running the free version of Nexus, you can download v12.2 from HERE. You can see what is new on it (in relation to v11.10) in HERE.

Please let me know what you think. :D

Hope it's clear you won't see the 'fade in' effect you want on this release, though. It will have to wait for the next.

Sweet! Thanks for letting my try out the new version! I'll let ya know what I think after I test this sucker out. :D

Edit; I like the greyscale effect a lot. So much so, I turned the icons back to opaque so I could get the full effect. :D

I would still like to see an option to turn the icons opaque on mouseover, but it would be pointless if it's under the same mousover effect as the others. It would be nice to see a "Turn opaque on mouseover" option under the transparency settings instead.

I would like to mention that I'm a RocketDock convert and that's the only feature I miss from RocketDock. Don't get me wrong, I'd never go back to RocketDock, Nexus is superior in almost every way. ;)

I'd really like to thank you though for letting me try out 12.2. I'd keep trying out betas for you too if it means I might get an opaque mouseover feature as soon as possible. :P

Thanks!!

-Andrew

Thanks for the feedback. :D

Become a registered Winstep user by purchasing, say, Nexus Ultimate, and, besides getting to enjoy all the capabilities that Nexus Ultimate provides, you'll also be entitled to play with new private betas as soon as they are available (via the Beta Discussion section of the Winstep forums, which is only open to registered Winstep users). :D

I'll look into that, currently the free version provides all I really need though. I'm not looking to completely alter my W7 experience, I just like docks as opposed to a bunch of icons on my desktop.

Thanks though and I might just purchase the upgrade just for the betas. ;)

Don't confuse Nexus Ultimate with Winstep Xtreme. :D

Have you already seen this product comparison page HERE?

With Nexus Ultimate you can have as many docks as you want, categorize applications into sub-docks (and you can even have sub-docks of sub-docks!), get rid of the clutter on your desktop via the desktop tab of the Shelf (which also gives you quick access to other virtual folders such as the Windows Control Panel, My Computer, Recent Documents, and, in fact, even any folder in your hard drive), and much more!

How do you like my sales pitch?

I suck at it, eheh.
