Are there any new ones available? or are there third party ones that will work?

There are a lot of new modules in the to-do list. Expect an explosion of new modules once development focus changes into them.

Cool!

Can I request a "simple" calendar? Not one that shows my appointments just a simple calendar "pop up" like a paper wall calendar so that you could look up when a specific date falls.

Answers questions like: "what day is the 27th"?

Excellent! Can third parties provide modules or is the interface proprietary? If it's possible for third parties to make and contribute modules, I'll consider assigning some students the task of some creating modules during Spring term.

Sorry, proprietary format, there is no SDK for 3rd party modules.

No worries. I understand the reasons for a decision such as that and, as a customer, appreciate the additional integrity/stability :)

I just started using Winstep Extreme after using Stardock Object Dock for 6 years..

Holy crap!! Why did I waste all that time. Winstep is simply the cat's backside. I am not usually a guy who is terribly complimentary but I must give credit for a product well designed. I'll be throwing money at you in the next few days. It's fast and for it's complexity uses amazingly few system resources. Lean, mean and seemingly infinitely configurable. It is obvious that you have spent a lot of time carefully crafting this fantastic product.

Okay, enough with the gushing..

I have also been and still am using for the moment SD Object desktop as I like some of the widgets they have. So if you cold replace some of them for me, I'll abandon that too.

I know you have requests for a ton of new Modules, and I couldn't seem to search for those requests in the Wish list thread, so I'll just throw my wishes in here. Pardon me if my requests are already on your large pile.

In Object Dock I could use old Sysstats docklets. One of my favorites was a Magic 8 Ball docklet. It operated just like that old magic 8 Ball that you would turn over and get advice on a question. It was surprising how much I used that. Okay, so maybe this one doesn't have to be a high priority.

Also there is a moon phase docklet that was really useful, for planning my sky observations, or garden planting. Just a simple docklet that would only show the current moon phase. it just displays one of 30 different png moon images, one for each day. That has to be a unique request and likely pretty easy to do.

A sexy world clock that would allow me to simultaneously see the time in 4 different time zones. I travel a lot and have friends in different parts of the world so it helps to find out when is a good time to catch someone at home.

I currently have a simple beautiful month calendar that shows me the current month with the current date outlined in red. It has 5 buttons, one to go forward a month, one to go forward a year, one to go back a month, one to go back a year and one to go back to the current month. One of the things I like about it is I can go back and look at a month for, say, 1855. That is something I use surprisingly a lot. I'd love for you to make one of those.

That's all I can think of for the moment.. Thanks again for the fantastic work.

Thanks! About 13 years, actually (Winstep has been in business since early 1999). :D

Thanks for your module suggestions. :D

Well I have one more suggestion for another module.

This one would be really useful for those who have monthly download limits from their ISPs.

You've already crafted a really great Net Monitor. It looks like it is every bit as good as SysInternals TCPView. But what about a Data Meter, one that shows your cumulative data both uploaded and downloaded. It could keep a running history of data received and transmitted daily, weekly and monthly. Things like, busiest day or week of the month or even heaviest day of the year, and of course data accumulated since the last reset or in the month. The data counters could be reset at any time and programmed to reset on a particular day of the month. You could also custom set it to warn you when you are getting close to using your monthly allotment, and then tell you again when you've reached that limit. Then for laughs you could provide an option to enter the price that you are charged for data overage, so it could show you how much you will be paying extra in the month Lol..

This might just be a modification to your current net monitor.. But I'm not a programmer so what the heck do I know.

Also, A RSS Module would be nice. With the image attached to the RSS post showing if you click like more info/advance view.

Hope that makes sense lol
