Hello.

I use Nexus dock for several months when was available on giveawayoftheday. And i like it a lot. So when I upgrade my PC a few days ago I start thinking about buying Winstep Xtreme. Before buying I first download trial and try it... Now I need help with few little "problems".

Image

1.Its possible adjust open Start little more down? If yes... how?
2.Its possible turn off this hiding button? If yes... how?
3.I want clock in place number 3. I think best way is catching modul in workshelf section... But clock skins which are already included in winstep I dont like it or they are too big. I want just small and simple clock and date. I prefer something like in number 4... How I achieve this? Is there any clock module modding tutorial?

Thanks for reply.

PS: I dont want to be annoying... But in Czech translation is one especially annoing misspell error in menu...

Not "Možmosti" but "Možnosti" is right... And even better meaning in this position have word "Nastavení"...

As far as the problem with the Start Menu, I don't know what to do other than tell you that you can use the Windows Taskbar like I do. Jorge (Winstep) will be able to answer your question with using the Xtreme Taskbar.

As far as the clock, you can use a different theme, or change the size of the clock by right-clicking on the clock --> Scale, then choose what percentage you want to make it smaller or larger.

You can also use the clocks that I use. I now use two clocks. The one in my video is http://www.timeleft.info/ The other one not in my video (thanks to PHRED who informed me in another thread that a Win7 version is now available) is http://www.stoicjoker.com/TClock/ Remember, you have to use the Windows Taskbar for it to work.

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=4530 This should help give you some ideas. The link to my video is in the thread.

This is a current shot of my Desktop. Image

Windy: Thanks for reply. Nice theme.

Windows taskbar - i want it on left. In this case is Start button above and I dont like it. I want start down like normal. But here is systray... Wintaskbar dont have this amount customizability... thats why i choose nextstart instead.

Reason: Im on laptop with horrible 768px height. Before I put taskbar in the left I use "autohide" so i could save some space. But on side is a lot of space so I can try put here instead...

http://www.stoicjoker.com/TClock/ is completely perfect. Exactly what I want. Image Sadly only in original win taskbar...

Unfortunately it isn't, and you can thank Microsoft for it.

Under Vista and previous Windows versions, invoking the Windows Start Menu via Winstep would automatically move it to the position of the mouse pointer, but Microsoft changed something in 7 that causes the Windows Start Menu to become visually corrupt - when you mouse over it - if it is moved to any position other than where it would normally appear.

Since many people considered this 'visual corruption' to be a bug in the Winstep software itself, a decision was made NOT to move the Start Menu to the mouse pointer position when running under Windows 7. If it matters, Jeff (the developer of ObjectDock) was also forced to make the same decision.

Sorry, it isn't.

If you manage to find a theme that has a desktop clock module just as you want it, you can download and install that theme and then apply it *just to the clock module itself* (check the 'Applying 3rd party dock themes on Nexus Ultimate and Winstep Xtreme' section HERE). If you then lock the theme of the clock, you can afterwards change the global theme without affecting the clock theme.

Thanks Caspar! I waited a while for Jorge to respond to your question and for you to read it.

I hope everything works out for you. The more you use Xtreme, the more you'll find new features and like it.
