Hey there.

I am using the Network Shelf. Am I correct in assuming that it is supposed to show your various network connections here? Whatever is listed in my Network Connections folder? If that is the case, then it doesn't work properly.

All that currently shows up in the shelf is: Network Setup Wizard, Wireless Network Setup Wizard, Add Network Place and Entire Network. None of my 4 network connections appear.

Am I missing something?

Well, it's working here under Windows 7, and it should work under XP too: all that Shelf tab does is enumerate and display the contents of the CSIDL_NETWORK virtual folder, as given by Windows.

What happens if you open your Network folder in an Explorer window and *then* click on the Network tab on the Shelf?

Well, I just tried that. I have an explorer window open showing my network connections, and the network shelf remains unchanged.

Since nobody has mentioned this before, either nobody is experiencing this problem or the Network shelf isn't that popular, I'm not sure which.

I am just on the verge of buying a new laptop, or course with Win7, so this may become a moot point for me in a few weeks.
