Earlier this week, I purchased smart menu organizer pro and installed it on a new windows 7 machine. I have spent a fair bit of time organizing the start menu and have it the way I would like it in the program interface.

However, a small problem. There is no change to the actual start menu and there is no indication that the program did anything to the actual start menu. All of the programs that were moved into the categories in your program are still scattered around win 7 menu in the same manner before I installed you program.

The program help about says I have pro and I did add menu items. I tried to update through the program help option but the update ended stating I did not have an installed version. I was directed to get an update on the website but the website has no update for pro on the website.

Any suggestions to get a working menu and update would be appreciated.

What happens if you right click on the shortcut to the Start Menu Organizer and select 'Run as Administrator'? The application requires elevation to perform changes and has a built-in manifest that normally makes Windows display a UAC prompt when you run it. If you don't see this prompt when you run the Organizer, that is likely the problem.

Once you run it elevated, make sure to make a backup of your current Start Menu structure before applying any changes.
