I really need to have an idea of what programs are conflicting with the task snapshots, so NextSTART can ship with a default exclusion list...

So, what applications are currently on your snapshot exclusion list? When providing them, please specify how you've got them described on the list (executable name and/or application name used).

Thanks in advance!

Hey Jorge:

Good idea: my exclusion is "tbrush.exe" (executable).

Thanks. John

Thanks! :D

It would also be a good idea to explain why you put those applications there - what ill effects the snapshots had on them.

I'm adding mine to the list:

wmplayer.exe

Because taking the snapshot 'confuses' with the video hardware overlay, causing the video to overlap windows on top of the media player.

With Media Player you probably have the video overlays disabled, otherwise I'm sure you would have noticed the problems...

With the Office applications, however, I have no idea what the problem might be...

Not sure what problem is with office apps (working with Office 2003) - but I have big problem when working with tables in particular - and sometimes imported pictures.

Example is when looking at a particular presentation in power point which has our company logo, and a simple table in it. I can see the original slide, then overlayed but offset a little is another copy of the logo and the table lines.

This happens in Powerpoint, Word and Excel - and a new one Visio.

Also - if I alt-tab to something else complely different, e.g. firefox, then the same info is overlayed on that.

Disabling snapshots fixes :)
