Okay, here's some things I think would be nice

Live Menus in NextStart

This equates to the Live Bookmarks in Firefox. I'd like to have NextStart menus who's items are comprised of RSS feed news items. You've already sort got part of the problem solved with the URL Command items in NexStart menus.

Okay the next one is a bit wacky and has dubious value, but what the heck, here it is:

Folder Menus that are assigned a designated Command

Basically this would be a traditional NextStart menu that lists the contents of folder (files, subdirectories, etc). I'd like a program to the menu such that when I click an item on the menu, it executes program "item".

So for instance in the case of having a bunch of MP3s in various directories, I could click the NextStart menu item, that corresponds to "C:\Music\U2\Achtung Baby" and have NextStart issue: foobar2000.exe c:\Music\U2\Achtung Baby".

Yeah I could right-click the menu to bring up the context menu and select "Queue in Foobar2000", but this way makes it a bit easier to browse and play music via NextStart.

Lastly, How about hiding / showing Workshelf Desktop modules via NextStart hotspots?

Okay that's all I got.

I like this one. A 'hide/show all modules' internal command. :D

Oh yeah, go for my sane, easy suggestion
Seriously though this one makes the most sense because it further plays to the strengths of NS and WS working together.

I don't know how sophisticated you want to get. Be able to show/hide individual desktop modules or just all.

If you do all, I imagine it should show/hide *only* the modules you've marked for Display on Deskkop in the WS settings rather than ALL the modules. This would be a great candidate for a screen corner bumping hotstpot (at least, that's the way I would use it).

I agree... In a way this would be a very rough equivalent of Dashboard - still, very useful to keep the desktop modules out of the way until needed. :D

I entirely agree... In fact I suggested this very thing to Jorge a couple months back. I personally have no use for modules that are *always* on the desktop. Most of the time they are covered up anyway so a Show/Hide command for the widgets you normally have open would be a great improvement, imo.

I like this one as well.

I already use the hide / unhide desktop icons in a docked Nexus bar.

One question though: should hidden modules stop functioning while hidden, or should they just hide and keep doing their stuff on the background? I vote for the later, since otherwise a meter with an histogram will not be showing correct past usage when made to pop up again.

Jorge, I agree with you. The same problem that affects a meter would also affect the weather module and would initally show stale data.

I agree. I would still want it all to be current/accurate when I unhide it.
