1. Is it possible to make all configs saved in INI files as option? It would be easiest to backup and restore configuration in case of system registry failure. Or maybe it is a other automated way to doing backup of a recent configuration (like calling WS with command line parameter)?

2. After pressing Backup button in Global Preferences and overwriting old file then Backup WS Settings dialog appears with Yes/No/Cancel choice, but unfortunately it seems that text inside this dialog box is truncated (e.g.: File 'C:\Program Files\Winstep\wsbackup.wbk). Note that after choosing filename Windows' standard question for confirmation of file replace appears. So if this mysterious dialog is overwriting confirmation then it is recurrent.

3. CPU Meter in WorkShelf is not compatible with multi-processor/core systems: in dual-core system when one core/processor is busy CPU meter shows overall 50% utilization in a gauge, but in process list below it shows that some process gets 100% CPU, but in fact it works only on one core, so it is 50% of all CPUs power.

4. When sub-dock orientation is changed (Rotate command from context menu) to opposite (e.g. from vertical to horizontal) then it is not remembered after next opening this sub-dock. So there is not possible to permanently set sub-dock's orientation other than perpendicular to parent dock. It would be a very nice design enhancement to permanently change orientation of sub-docks.

5. If Shelf Transparency is set accordingly 0 for a Open and 100 for a Collapsed then when shelf is collapsing suddenly transparency change occurs. So shelf looks like suddenly disappearing rather than slide to screen edge. It would may improve look if when shelf starts slide off the screen then transparency gradually lowers to Collapsed value at point when shelf is fully collapsed. As a result it smoother shelf disappearing.

1 - No, sorry. INI files were abandoned a long time ago, except for backup purposes. Registry Access is much faster. There is no automatic way to make configuration backups, you must do it manualy - Winstep Xtreme is so reliable that, in my opinion, there is no need for automatic backups.

2 - Fixed for next release, thanks.

3 - Fixed for next release too. :D

4 - I don't understand - you can only rotate parent docks (as far as I know, hehe), and sub-docks are always perpendicular to parent docks.

5 - Implemented for next release, provided the theme is using PNG bitmaps for the shelf.

About issue 4, I accidentaly managed to reproduce getting a NeXuS control tile context menu on a sub-dock, but that's a bug - you're not supposed to be able to do that.
