So I've been using Nexus a whole lot, and I love it. I have shelves replacing my taskbar, so I have the taskbar hidden. I also use a dock for quick shortcuts and I have my shortcuts organized with subdocks. I switched from ObjectDock+ because it cannot do subdocks.

Anyway, in preparation to play a resource intensive game, I disabled both my dock and shelves. But now I have a HUGE problem: my taskbar is hidden.

The only way that I know of to get to my taskbar is to kill Nexus by way of [Ctrl] + [Alt] + [Del]. I have no idea how to re-enable my docks or get to Nexus preferences. Please help!!! I don't want to have to uninstall Nexus because I'd lose my docks which have taken days to set up perfectly with custom icons and everything.

How can I either
A: Open Nexus preferences?
or
B: Enable my docks?
or
C: Unhide the taskbar

Are there any shortcut keys to do these?

WorkShelf = CTRL+F11 > Docks & Shelves > and also General tab

NextSTART = CTRL+F12 > Taskbar tab

This is to access those features in Xtreme so I'm not sure if it's exactly the same in Nexus Ultimate.

If you deleted the Nexus icon on the Dock which also allows you to access many features when you right-click it:

Right-click any open area on the Dock (not an icon), > Insert New Dock Item > Show dock control icon.

I'll have to try [CTRL] + [F11] or [F12] when I get home from work. I have Nexus Ultimate, not Extreme, but I really hope it works. Is there a way I can manually back up my docks so I can reinstall Nexus if that doesn't work? Is there like an INI file or something I can move to a different folder?

Actually, there's an in-built facility to save and restore your settings and preferences. Just go to the main Preferences, "Advanced" tab, where you will find two buttons, appropriately named "Backup" and "Restore".
Pressing the obvious choice, you can backup everything and save the back-up file anywhere your heart desires.
After reinstallation, you can follow the same route to press "Restore", point it in the right direction and you will have everything as you left it.
Cheers!

I know this, but this information doesn't help when I cannot open preferences. That's why I was hoping for a manual way to do so. Thanks anyway.

Like Windy said, if you haven't changed the combination, Ctrl+F11 should get you the Preferences dialogue.
The settings themselves, as far as I know, are largely in the registry so no, you can't copy some file from somewhere.
Cheers!

I'm not clear. Were you able to access and fix/enable the settings to your liking? Even if you somehow changed the keyboard shortcut you should be able to access Preferences via the Nexus icon on the Dock by right-clicking it. You can then change the keyboard shortcut back to the default combination.

I gave you the instructions earlier on how to get to where you can enable Docks and WorkShelf. What happens when you press CTRL+F12? In Xtreme, that's where you access changes to the taskbar via NextSTART.

Yes I was, thanks for the help! [Ctrl] + [F11] totally worked!
