I just discovered that if you try to close Windows Media Player 11 when minimized--that is, if you right click on the taskbar button and click 'Close--you get a 'Program not responding or is waiting for User Input'. Happens every time, even though taskbar previews are disabled for WMP 11. So there's nothing that NextStart should be waiting for from the app itself and the message lasts for almost 20 seconds. I get this message if a track is playing OR if WMP 11 is absolutely idle, it doesn't matter to NextStart.
I don't get this message with the default Windows taskbar, even if I minimize and close while WMP 11 is playing music or video.
But I like NextStart, so I'd like to see if I can find a fix for this.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

I just tried it here and I get the same message, but only for 3 seconds or so. It looks like WMP does not respond to Windows messages quickly enough when minimized.

I guess I could increase the time out period a bit before you get the prompt.

Cool, the message is probably longer on my machine since I got a five year-old Dell...

No biggie in any case, just thought I'd let you know as an update possibility...thanks!

Ok, increased the time out delay before the Terminate Task dialog appears from 2 to 3 seconds - hope that does it.

No, it still gives me that message...thanks for trying, though.

Maybe increase time to 5 seconds...(is that maybe something I can do on my end...? maybe as a registry tweak?)
I used to get similar 'Program Not Responding' messages for programs that had in fact closed successfully which annoyed me and countless others, I learned, and have since used the AutoEndTasks registry tweak to fix that. Although neither value (0 or 1) made a difference in this case.

Why not do away with the message entirely? Or give an option to turn messages like that off?
just a thought...
