Systray does not work, when running winstep as windows shell

I am using a pc running win7pro as a mediacenter connected to my tv.

I do not use windows explorer as a shell. My shell is a powershell script calling Nexus-Ultimate 12.2 and XBMC media center.

This setup is working great. Winstep is providing most of the features I need to use my XBMC Box for other things aswell.

There are some issues. Probably because the explorer shell is not running.

I created a tab for my systray (wow it's there COOOL),but it stays empty.
When a tray program is strarted it will show in the taskmanagers process tab, but no icon is displayed in the winstep systray tab.

Any ideas how i can solve this?

No way - Winstep is a Shell add-on, it was never meant as a Shell replacement. As such, it depends on an existing Shell to provide the core systray functionality.

Yes I suspected that.
I still hope to find a way to bring back that functionality. Maybe with some 3rd party utility.
