Is there a way to disable nextstart? (or even uninstall it?)
I don't use it, and everytime I run Winstep xtreme from the shortcut it starts next start in which i have to exit it all the time. ( I have it disabled from starting from windows launch)
I just use workshelf and nexus ultimate. Sometimes I have to exit winstep xtreme and restart it because when I change my desktop resolution from 1080p to 720p the right part is cut off (It doesn't resize itself unless you restart it) and then nextstart will load also. (which is annoying)

Yes, I understand what you mean, and I have in fact been thinking about this.

The problem is that the Winstep shortcut on the desktop launches both NextSTART and WorkShelf regardless of their current 'run at startup' settings.

Here is what you can do for now to fix this:

1. Go to

C:\Program Files (x86)\Winstep\

2. *Right-click* (NOT left click) and drag WorkShelf.exe from the folder into the Windows Desktop.

3. Select 'Create shortcut here' from the context menu that pops up when you drop the file onto the Desktop.

4. Now delete the original Winstep shortcut in the Desktop and use only the WorkShelf shortcut from then on.

Thank you, that worked.

By the way is there a reason that when I change my resolution form 1080p to 720p that the tabbed tray doesn't change with it. Every time I change my resolution I always have to restart it. (see Image)

Screen resolution changes are not very common.

Anyway, too late to look into this for the upcoming v16.6, but have you already tried opening WorkShelf Preferences and simply clicking Ok instead of re-starting WorkShelf?

That worked better, thanks.

The reason for changing the resolution is I use 1080p for gaming because I have it hooked up to my 80" TV for use a pc gaming console from my couch. But for other activities, like web browsing, email ect, 1080p is too small to read stuff. I tried changing the windows display setting where it will make stuff bigger while in 1080p but some games don't work with that setting.
So I use HRC to quickly change the resolution from the systray.
I do have a dual boot with windows 10 (games) windows 7 (normal computer) Windows 7 I keep at 720p all the time.

Assuming the Shelf is set to 'Span the full screen width when docked' (Shelf Properties -> Position tab) as it is by default, it should automatically adjust its width whenever the screen resolution changes.

If it's not doing that now, something got broken. Unfortunately, that being the case, it's already too late to fix if for the v16.6 release. It will be fixed, though. Just wanted to clarify that. :)
