I'm running version 16.6. I have System Tray icons set to 24 pixels. I have checked Expand Shelf to left. I am only able to get 4 icons in the visible System Tray area. Every time I try to add another (dragging it from above) it goes right back to the above area.

I thought Expand Left would allow more icons.

Thanks for any assistance.

Mike

Ok, time for a screenshot of your desktop, please, so I can visualize better what you are trying to explain.

The right hand side of the task bar, it will only allow 4 programs.

Thanks for the screenshot.

The icons that appear in a collapsed systray is something controlled through Windows: under Windows 7 you could simply click on the little symbol at the immediate *left* of the tray icons, which shows the remaining tray icons in a popup window, and select 'Customize'.

This would open a dialog from where you could *directly* select which icons should be visible in the tray.

But you're running Windows 10.

Under Windows 10 the 'Customize' option is no longer available in the tray expansion window (and I only noticed that now).

<sarcasm on>Microsoft made it so much simpler now:<sarcasm off>

Under Windows 10 you need to open the Windows Start Menu (press the WIN key or click the blue flag in the Quick Launch section of the NextSTART taskbar) and look for the 'Settings' entry in the Start Menu. Click on Settings, then System, then Notifications & Actions then 'Select which icons appear on the taskbar'.

Sigh.
