Just bought nexus ultimate. When I click 'Quit' to unload nexus, it freezes and I need to kill it in task manager.
Perhaps because I loaded a backup configuration file of previous version ?
Any idea ?

I doubt it has anything to do with that, but, since you still have the backup, have you already tried to reset Nexus to factory settings (Preferences -> Advanced - Troubleshooting Options -> Reset All) and then quitting it to see if it's still hanging on exit?

Good suggestion ! But ... same thing.
However, it gives one more info: after restoring and trying to quit I have to kill the process. Then, when restarting the previous configuration is loaded, not the factory one.

It's weird. I made a clean install deleting everything related to winstep and also deleted registry entries.

What will happen if I try to install it on an other computer ? I mean about license ?

Pretty sure you will find out it does not freeze on exit on the other computer.

It's ok on my laptop. Also loaded the desktop configuration on it and I can exit with no freeze.
So, there is something wrong on my desktop...

Doesn't solve the actual problem on your desktop PC but allows you to understand that this is not strictly a problem with Nexus.

Figuring out what is actually causing it to hang on exit on your desktop PC is another can of worms, of course. The type of problem that normally can only be solved with some lengthy trial and error experimentation.

Please let me know if you eventually figure out the culprit (perhaps AV software related?)

I doubt I will find the culprit. It's not AV related as I use the same on my laptop. If I find out I post here for sure.

Well, I will never know. I reinstalled win 10 for the 20th time in 1 year...

Ouch. The Windows OS that is in a state of being a *permanent* beta.
