It seems every time I go to customize my Dock or taskbar and hit OK to exit out of customization I get what you see in the attached screenshot. It will open from 10-100 windows. It only happens when applying or hitting OK to get out of customization. This is running on a Windows 7 64bit platform and it has done this ever since I purchased Nexus Extreme. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I did not supply much info about my system since I don't know what you need to know.

Unfortunately some shortcuts, when being resolved to get their icon into the menu/dock/Shelf, make a call back to the Windows Installer. This is a bit technical and a huge mess made by Microsoft with their shortcuts, as essentially the resource you are looking for is pointed at by the shortcut but is not available locally.

If the flag to resolve Windows Installer shortcuts is not specified, you get no icon and the shortcut (.lnk file) is not resolved properly, if the flag is specified sometimes you get the Windows Installer popping up.

Solving this is usually a simple matter of letting the Windows Installer do its thing and store the resource locally. When this is not possible (as apparently is your case, as I never actually seen the Windows installer trying to download something from the Internet), then the only resort is to delete the shortcut that is causing this issue - of course, first you need to find out which one it is.

It seems if when these windows start popping up if I close my Outlook they all go away. Is that any help at what might be the issue? If my Outlook is not open then I can configure the dock all day with no issues. Once I open Outlook and hit OK in Winstep these windows start popping up.

First thing you need to establish is: hit Ok where? NextSTART Preferences? WorkShelf Preferences? Both? If both, does it matter if one or the other are not running?

Let me know and we can go from there.
