I made a couple Winstep Xtreme themes ... does this qualify me for a renewal license? I'm currently expired and really would love one!

I have a question about packing them too. You said you can convert them to .xtreme files by right clicking on the zip and clicking on the 'convert to'. I have WinRar on my machine so I don't have that option available.

Do I have to uninstall WinRar to get that option to show, or is there some way to make a file association (or some other way) so I don't have to uninstall WinRar?

xiandi, those look really great. i've downloaded both to test out. i'm going to post a couple of links below any change of you creating matching winstep xtreme themes to go with those themes? especially the first one.

Currently the convert to Xtreme right click option is associated to the .CompressedFolders file class, which means zip files handled by the OS only.

That right click option under normal conditions (e.g.; back when the Theme Builder was integrated with the application itself) would be a mere convenience, since you could Export existing themes directly from the builder and that would automatically convert them to .Xtreme.

Your best bet right now is to send the theme zip file either to me or WebGizmos, one of us will convert it to .Xtreme and send it back to you.

I actually figured out how to get that option back on the context menu! (yay!)

What I had to do was restore the file association for zip files. This did not require me to uninstall WinRar.

All I had to do was run the one for zip files and then reboot.

I have pretty much finished my first attempt at a NeXuS theme but can't really test all the graphics... was wondering if there is a trial version of Xtreme or Nexus to test with...

Style is based on KTEK4D so there will be some similarities...

mike not looking too shabby. 3 questions. 1st is your license expired or did u simply use up all your time on the free 30 day trial? 2nd why don't u just ask someone to test it for you? and lastly while the screenshot looks great do u have an image of nextstart, workshelf, and nexus?

I'm using Nexus, from the version information it displays 11.10.0969...
This version doesn't have the sub docks nor the start bar stuff so I don't know if I'm getting the images correct...

Feel like a bit of fool now... I downloaded xtreme again and installed... it's working now... I must have reinstalled the basic pack last time...

I have it working so can now fix up the images.... thanks for the help...

Just finished my first complete style...

A couple of question...
In the theme folder there are a few text files (style_name.nxs and other extensions)... is there any documentation on these files... need to know where to set the position/offset for modules titles...

have you posted that at wincustomize? i meant to ask you before. also are you planning on doing more themes. you've got talent no point it going to waste.

Unfortunately I am long term unemployed (due to illness), so I don't have any income to purchase programs... I rely on paypal donations to purchase everything...

I write code and especially phpBB forum mods as well as creating and porting styles... Once my main mod is validated I expect more traffic and perhaps donations, so hopefully I will purchase Winstep and continue to develop themes...

I didn't upload because the 30 day evaluation period ran out and I delete Winstep as per agreement... Can't validate or fix anything without it...

now mike if you actually created that theme you possibly could received a free copy of xtreme if you send a copy to jorge to checkout. once the years worth of updates runs out you still own xtreme you can continue to use xtreme, but til you renew your license you simply cannot update. like in my case my license ran out on may 6th, i'll wait til the next major upgrade before i renew cause then my year of updates will start from that point. it's ashame those that get themes created don't get a free year,lol. cause in my case i got the ultimate clean, hand drawn, and blade themes made.

I'll send him the zip and see how it goes... Assume I do this via a PM?
