Hi, I was wondering if I am the only one experiencing this but thought I'd post it here anyway.

I have Nexus Dock 12.02.0995 installed and customised it to be on the right edge of the screen with -4 offset which makes it allign with my physical screen edge.

Now the problem is whenever I drag the cursor to the right end of my screen the Dock background flips a few pixles to the left or starts blinking.

I have actually encountered this behaviour on a few other similar Dock programs.

I would appreciate any input on this as I am out of ideas myself :)

Here is an illustration video on what i mean:

That is some very strange behavior. The dock should be expanding, not moving away from the edge of the screen.

1. What theme are you using for your dock? I temporarily have a PC (I'm fixing) that I installed Nexus on and I can't find that theme. I have Xtreme installed on my PC.

2. Have you changed any Nexus settings?

3. What OS and specs is your PC?

4. Did you change your Windows font/shadowing settings? What happens if you change it to the default font/shadowing?

5. Did you change your Windows display settings?

6. What happens if you move the dock to the bottom of the screen?

7. What happens if you change your theme?

8. What happens if you change the Desktop background?

After watching the video it appears your problem might be caused by some other problem not related to Winstep unless it's the theme.

The reason I say that is there are some weird artifacts left on the Desktop background after the font is displayed. That is a major problem that must be dealt with immediately.

since you mentioned that you've noticed this behavior with a few dock programs i have to agree with windy that it's something other than nexus causing the problem.

Hi, Thanks for your replies.

I have cocnluded that this only happens on my two Lenovo Thinkpad T61 and X61s laptops. They both run Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bits 2GB RAM and Mobile Intel 965 Express.

I tested this on my Sony Vaio and HP 6930p and could not replicate the problem.

- Artifacts or black lines appearing in the video is the dodgy rendering of screen recording software

- Changing the theme, background, resolution or other display settings did not help

- I even tried uninstalling custom Lenovo software such as Fn key utilitiy etc. to no avail.

- Changing dock's position to top or bottom results in same behaviour.

My best guess was graphics drivers or something like that but all my current drivers seem to be up to date. So it's really puzzling to me this one

It's probably the video card. If you want screen recording software that won't cause the problem you had, use this. http://screencapturer.com/ It's an excellent program.

I used it for my video. It's the HIGHLIGHTED VIDEO on the right of the page. http://www.winstep.net/themes.asp It's also good for taking screen shots of any size using the Region feature saving them in PNG format.

There are two more addendum videos to it here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kr8UPacC ... e=youtu.be

If you haven't already, you should try Winstep Xtreme. It has a one month free trial.
