Any future for multiple weather modules, to view more than one location?

Multiple-session modules are on the to-do list and have been for some time.

This will require a lot of changes to existing code, though. This said, I've been wanting to revisit everything module related for quite some time now, since I've been feeling the hitch to add more module types.

Because I want to make it easier for myself to add more modules, which will require a lot of structural changes, I might as well add support for multi-session modules then.

However, the next release will be dedicated to the Winstep Theme Builder. Perhaps on the release after that.

You might like to know that I actually just finished that MAJOR code re-organization in preparation for the implementation of new desktop modules and module-related capabilities.

I needed a break from the Theme Builder so I decided to add a new Battery/UPS module which in turn led me to making that much needed re-organization now. Hundreds of lines of code were changed (lets just hope that doesn't mean hundreds of new bugs too, lol).

Is there a way to make the clock chime the number of times for the hour? 4:00 - 4 times?

Good idea! Jorge, how about throwing in that volume feature since you'll be working in that area.

Remember my request quite some time ago to be able to lower or raise the volume of the clock announcement WITHIN Winstep instead of using only the PC's volume?

I like Windy's idea. Would be nice to only turn down the module volume without affecting the system volume.

Guys, I don't get it. From Windows Vista on wards, the system Mixer allows you to select volume level per-application.

Why duplicate that functionality (assuming it is even possible)?

I don't see the point in this situation, but I know it is possible because my media player apps don't affect the master volume when I change the volume within the media player. They do affect their individual volume within the volume mixer. For example, I usually use Quintessential Media Player to listen to music (I know, it doesn't seem to be updated in forever, but it still does what I want it to better than any other app I've tried). If I adjust the QMP volume via the app, the volume slider for QMP moves in the Windows volume mixer.

Actually, thinking about it, the only way I could see a reason to adjust volume within the program would be to have the ability to turn up one module vs. another. So, if I wanted the clock to be fairly quiet, but the Workshelf expand and collapse noises to be loud or something. But then you're getting REALLY complicated. I really don't want you wasting time making a Winstep volume mixer to control the various sounds within Winstep.

Unless I'm ignorant about it allowing you to select only the clock volume, as far as I've seen, Windows only allows changing everything as a whole in a program/Winstep.

If I open the volume mixer and play the time announcement, (watch the slider when it plays) it registers/moves under Workshelf and Device Speakers/Headphones. There is no clock module registered there, so therefore moving the slider affects everything associated with the program. It would be great if the clock module registered in the volume mixer by itself making it able to be changed without affecting the rest of the program's volume.

So it's as Paul (Vectornut) said, you want a volume mixer *per module* + sound effects. And, as he said, that would be complicating things beyond measure.

Sorry, but my resources (i.e.; time) are limited and I think there are far more important things to add at this point. :)
