Is that a single or multi-monitor system?

If multi-monitor system, do both monitors have the same DPI settings (i.e. both 100%, or both 125%) ?

If single monitor system, what graphics card? Is the Fast Boot option in WorkShelf Preferences enabled (Preferences -> General tab -> Enable Fast Boot) ? Does toggling this option make any difference? What version of Winstep Xtreme are you running?

I'm using multi-monitors, with not same DPI settings (primary monitor 3440x1440, second monitor 3840x2160, but I'm not using the second monitor, just plugged in the graphic card. The Fast Boot option is enabled.

Ok, hold on, screen resolution is not the same as DPI settings. DPI settings is what you see in Windows Settings -> System -> Display -> Scale (i.e. DPI settings = scale).

So, just to confirm, is the scale/DPI settings for both monitors the same or not?

First try disabling the Fast Boot option and reboot to see if that makes a difference. If not, try disconnecting the second monitor from the graphics card and see if that makes a difference too... let me know please...

I disabled the Fast Boot option, doesn't help. The primary monitor DPI 150%, the second monitor 300%.

Ok, that is probably the problem... Winstep applications are high-DPI compatible but they are not *per-monitor* high DPI compatible. This means all the monitors must have the same DPI scaling otherwise Windows will literally lie to the application about screen resolutions, etc, possibly resulting in what you are experiencing.

As luck would have it I am actually working on adding *per-monitor* high DPI support (see What's next after v25.2) but this feature won't be available until the next release, sorry...

Well. I changed both to 125% and the problem is gone. Thank you for your advice!

Next release you should already be able to have different DPI settings for each monitor.

Been a ton of work so far to get this working though, as the platform in which Winstep applications are developed does not natively support this, and each type of screen object (docks, shelves, desktop modules, live preview thumbnails, tooltips, balloon tooltips, alarms, etc) must be dealt with individually.
