I have in my dock an element from the typ "folder".

In this folder there are a lot of links to directories of my PC.
This works fine, exect for one of the links. And this is my download folder (G:\downloads)

If I click to the "download folder" nothing is happening. An Explorer windows with the download path should open, but it doesn't.

The crazy thing:
1. If I change the "download folder link" to (G:\downloads\fotos) it works fine.

2. If I insert a element into my dock of the typ folder directly with the download path (G:\downloads) it also works fine.

Can anybody explain this behaviour?

best regards
Andreas

Andreas, I think something has been lost in the translation (where exactly is located the link that does not work? In an Explorer folder? Or by "folder" do you mean a Grid Stack?).

Could you please provide a couple of example screenshots of the issue (e.g. the Item Properties dialog for the item that doesn't work as expected and the one that does)?

Hallo Jorge,

here are the screenshots.

Screenshoot_01 ...03 --> clicking to the download link (screenshot_03) no explorer window is opening.

Screenshoot_05 ...06 --> clicking to the download link (screenshot_06) an explorer window is opening.

the only difference is, that the first link is linked to G:\downloads and the other one is linked to G:\downloads\1.

I hope this makes things clear.

Andreas

A bit hard to understand, but if I did correctly the Downloads shortcut with the green folder won't open even if you try to open it from the Explorer window?

If that is the case, then this has nothing to do with the Winstep application but with some weird kink in Windows, sorry...

Hello Jorge

why hard to understand? What do you not understand?

I can open both links (G:\download and G:\download\1) without any problem with the standard windows explorer. I only can't open the G:\download via winstep dock element.

and screenshot_01 shows an Explorer window, I wrongly assumed that you could not open the Downloads folder even from Explorer.

Let me think a little bit and I'll get back to you.
