What version of Windows are you running? Is it Windows 11 24H2?

Can you please right click the Explorer shortcut on the dock, select Dock Entry Properties from the context menu and then post a screenshot of the Properties dialog window here?

Windows 11 24H2, there's your problem right there. Such a buggy mess that Microsoft isn't pushing it globally via Windows Update yet.

Since I am still on 23H2, can anyone else running 24H2 try to reproduce this on their systems and please let me know?

Also, what happens if you replace C:\windows\explorer.exe by C:\ ?

What?!

Changing "C:\windows\explorer.exe" to "C:\" should result in the contents of the C: drive being displayed in an Explorer window (it does here on Windows 11 23H2, for instance, just tried it and worked as expected).

If you are getting "program not found" then 24H2 is in an even worse state than I expected, or you mistyped something (?)

Can you please post another screenshot of the changes you made to the Item Properties dialog that result in the "Program not found" error? And after that try replacing "C:\" with only "C:" to see if that changes anything (here it behaves the same way as "C:\")...
