I have an issue with NextStart and the taskbar.

I have done several updates (Hardware) and also the latest Windows 11 update (Windows version 24H2).
After restart I realized that all symbols in the WinsStart Taskbar are gone. I don't know what the official naming for this symbols is and therfore made a screenshot in which I also showed the MS traskbar (in which the symbols are displayed by the way). I'm missing the red marked symbols. They are not shown anymore in my WinStart taskbar (green).
I have tried all setting, nothing worked so far.
Unfortunatly the Winstep Support is not answering my request (really disaapointing by the way given the fact that Winstep is not cheap and I purchased meanwhile twice)
Any help really appriciated, Thank you in advanced.

Read THIS!

And BTW, Winstep Software is ridiculously cheap.

In 23H2 Microsoft changed the way the system tray (notification area) was handled internally and broke every single application that relied on getting systray icon information using the old method(s). For the time being there is no work around.

I'm sure you meant 24H2 Jorge? Shurely shome mishtake. ;)

No. It started with 23H2. Difference being, under 23H2 you could put most of your tray icons in the expansion tray area (the thing that pops up when you click the up arrow next to the system tray icons) and you could still invoke that via the Winstep application, which was a kind of work-around. Not elegant, but it worked.

Under 24H2 apparently you can't even do that. Not 100% sure though because 24H2 - months after release - is still so §@§@£# buggy that many Windows systems (including mine) are still not being offered the "update" via Windows Update.

Ah right, I thought you were referring to the work-around no longer working after 24H2.

Win 11 is just one big f***-up after the next. I'm just glad I decided from the start I would never go near it, and that Win 10 Enterprise is supported for a good few more years - not that I anticipate actually *needing* it that long, as more of the things I need are becoming available on Linux.

Well, think of it as a 'reward' from M$ for everyone who was foolish enough to be on the Windows Insider programme. ;) Of course, you could always roll back to 23H2, or just go back to Windows 10 instead of that pile of s*** that is Win 11.
