Preferences -> Sounds tab -> is "Disable all voices" checked?

If so, that's your problem.

What happens when you click on "Comprobar voz" ?

What happens if you select a voice in a different language and click the same button?

Anyway, if none of the above works, the Sounds are .wav files, while voices are .mp3 files. Maybe that is the issue?

Add the Media Player internal command to one of the docks (Insert New Item -> Internal Command -> Media -> Media Player) then right click on the Media Player icon and select 'Media Player Settings'. Add an MP3 file to the list and see if it plays.

Hi again, I did what you told me, I checked by changing voices and none sounded and the sounds did also I changed to MP3 and it seems that it does not recognize them because when I do the search it does not find them, because when I search for Media Player I cannot find where it says media, I put capture again, thank you very much for the involvement and the speed in solving the problem.

Insertar Nuevo Elemento -> Comando Interno -> Multimedia -> Reproductor Multimedia

There, does that help locate the Media Player Internal Command?

Hello again, I followed your advice and for example I checked the low battery voice and yes I can hear it but when I try to check where the female voice is, I press check and nothing sounds, nothing, I press to show the time on the clock and it still doesn't work, I tried several things and nothing, I can't get it, I don't think it's because I haven't renewed the license, I'm trying to fix it first, anyway, thank you very much for your involvement

This has nothing to do with the license, it seems your Winstep software is currently unable to play MP3 files and since the clock *voices* are actually MP3 files, that is the issue.

Also, the "Low Battery" sound is a WAV file, not an MP3 file, which explains why that sound actually plays without problems. It also is a Sound (Sonido) not a voice (Voz), so by saying "I checked the low battery **voice** and yes I can hear it" you are just confusing the both of us.

Voices (MP3 files) and Sounds (WAV files) are not the same thing and they are played using different mechanisms.

The language barrier here is also not helping our communication, which makes it very difficult to properly diagnose this issue (which might even have nothing to do with the Winstep software itself but with external codec packs etc).

I asked you to use the built in Winstep Media Player to see if you could play any other MP3 files via the Winstep software other than the included voices (don't you have music in MP3 format in your PC?) but from your response I am not even sure if you actually tried that or not.

Also, since you mentioned not renewing your license, I checked your email address and it seems to me you have been running Winstep software for over a year (since 2023 actually). Since you are only reporting this issue now, did this start happening recently? If so, any idea what you might have changed or installed in your PC that might have caused this?

Yes, the license expired on October 24th, the only thing I did was change computers and on the new one I installed the program from a backup that I made and the voices stopped playing. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it from scratch but nothing remains the same and regarding the file type of the voices I open the folder and they are mP3

Can you play those MP3 voice files in *Windows* Media Player?
