Is there anyway to reverse the way a dock with running tasks behaves? I have a dock on the right side of my screen and all it holds is running tasks. Right now, new tasks are put on the bottom, so it grows down. Is there a way to reverse this?

As an aside, there is a small bug:

1) Create running tasks dock
2) Dock it on right side of screen
3) Use tile background (this one is what I used.
4) Open some apps, then close them all.
5) One tile still stays visible.

The work around:

1) Make it a floating sock

Once its a floating dock, when there are no open windows the dock disappears as, I think, it should.

I tried to make a floating 'sock' but it just clung to the ceiling (yeeew!).

Unfortunately tasks always run down. This is akin to the problem of having an horizontal floating dock expand left instead of right when it's collapsed and you expand it.

As for the bug, thanks for the report, I'll try to reproduce it here later and I'll let you know. I take it you have hidden the Nexus Control icon for that dock, right?

Also, as a registered Winstep user you can now apply for access to the Beta Discussion forums section. There's a nice private beta of v11.4 waiting for you there, which, among many other things, allows you to combine the magnify effect with other dock mouse over effects.

Ah, no problem. As a floating dock, I can just move it up when the task lists gets too long. But if you are taking requests, I'll put one in for being able to reverse the direction .

I'll settle into this app a bit then definitely apply to the beta team.

Love this app so far. You know, I've been using the Nexus dock but I am wondering if maybe I should go for the whole extreme package.

I was only interested in the dock because I don't use the taskbar and don't like desktop widgets, but I saw that you can detach things from the startbar, which I can see being very helpful.

If I decide to go that route (will install the extreme trial this weekend sometime), is there an upgrade path to a networked home edition from the networked home edition of nexus dock?
