I have the Shelf on the bottom of screen but when I play a game and quit playing, the shelf goes to the middle of screen. If I reboot it will go back to bottom of screen. I would appreciate any help

1. Does this happen with all your games or just one?

2. Can you disclose the names of the game (or games) this happens with?

3. Does your game change screen resolution? If so, any reason why you're not running it at the native resolution of your monitor?

When you change screen resolution, the Shelf, modules, etc..., will all automatically move so they don't go off screen. Now, this will NOT happen if the software detects a full screen application is responsible for changing the screen resolution - in that case, the software assumes you are playing a game and that the change in screen resolution is just temporary.

Of course, this depends on the software detecting that full screen application for it to work properly, and this is where things can go wrong. Some games might change the screen resolution *before* actually going full screen.

i have a few older games that cause the same thing. the easiest and fastest way to fix it is simply rightclick the nexus dock, exit, exit winstep xtreme, then relaunch xtreme. myself since i know that these games do this i simply exit xtreme before launching the game, and relaunch xtreme once done with the game.

Some old games use an old method for resizing the screen. They actually set a new resolution for the in use screen, and say to all applications to use that screen resolution.
Maybe when exiting they don't inform about the resolution restore, so the shelf doesn't know about it.

I remember that someone already had this issue with a game or so... though, it doesn't happen to me with newer games, so I suppose it has nothing to do with Nexus.

It was me, and the game was Need For Speed : Hot Pursuit 2.
I just solved it by going into prefs and pressing "apply". Simplez. ;)

It happens when my kids play a game called Wizard 101, I do what Skagon does ( just open Preferences and hit "apply" and all goes back to normal).

The game is Company of Heroes and after changing the games resolution and then hitting apply in Winstep everything is working fine. Thanks to all for their suggestions.
