Hi Jorge,
I'll be re-uping my subscription real soon...just got the note that it expired...
...RIGHT as I was in the middle of a complete rebuild of my system (naturally).
First the question: If I install the (year old) version sitting on my hard drive will it then still update to the last version available according to my subscription? Can I even download the last version my subscription allows?
For example - If my original purchase files are version 1.0, and over the course of the year you put out versions (for the sake of the example) 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4 with version 2.0 coming out right after the subscription expires, will the software autoupdate to version 1.4? Or can I download the 1.4 files? In my case I'm currently running version 1.4 on partition A, rebuilding the entire windows installation on partition B.
Now the Feature Request: Can you add in the ability for the subscription manager to let us know the subscription is about to expire a couple weeks or so before it does? Let's face it...once you get the software set up the way you want, how often do you have to go into preferences? Especially the "About" page? I know in my case (had I known) I would have downloaded the latest install package (if it was available as a standalone rather than update thru the program) just so I could finish my current project without interruption.
Plus just from the pure psychology of it, it's nice to have a "heads up" about something like this, rather than the "OOPS! We're sorry but your subscription has already expired" message. Because *that* message basically says "you're an idiot for not keeping track of things like this"...at least in the subtext.
Thanks for the awesome software.
