one more thing you can look at. how much transparency do you have under the dock? with some themes that have x amount of transparency on the dock edge facing the screen edge it is easy to mouse to the transparent area causing the dock to collapse into the screen edge again. i have learned to watch how close to the screen edge i mouse, or to edit out the transparent part.

The dock is not hiding into the screen edge as I thought at first: his auto-hide animation is Burn, animations are enabled, and the animation speed is in the middle notch - if the dock was collapsing, we would see the burn animation play.

It's something else.

I think this has to do with something on my pc. It's more of an annoyance than a problem cuz everything else works fine, but thanks for all the help. Greatly appreciated!

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

If you figure out what it is for yourself in the mean time, please let me know!

Hey Jorge, my Xtreme does this. I didn't get a chance to see what was happening in this guys video, since he took it down, but the entire theme flickers when I click on anything.

It's been happening for a while now, and I should have reported it, but I just assumed it was my computer doing it, and not Winstep since nobody else was having this issue.

I don't know how to make a video, and post it, but if there is anything I can do to help you find the issue, let me know.

Edit: Something to know: When I have Preferences open, it flickers like crazy whenever I hit the apply button, and also when I hit the ok button.

That can be normal, since when you press Apply or OK all the objects (docks, Shelf, desktop modules, etc...) get destroyed and redrawn.

Flickering when you click an item on the dock or the Shelf, however, is not normal.

Since when did this start happening? Have you installed anything unusual since then?

http://screencast.com/t/ltUmzVdYak There is a video, I just learned how to do that, lol.

Every time I clicked on something, the entire theme flickered, not just a time or two, but EVERY time. I was clicking on each module in that video, but it didn't capture all the flickering. The only time it didn't flicker in that video when when I was clicking through the tabs in the preferences, or not clicking at all.

I'm pretty sure that it has always done this, that's why I assumed it was my PC with the issue and not Winstep.

Xiandi, what happens if you exit WinFX and then WindowBlinds? Still get that flicker? What else are you running? Dreamscapes?

That looks like if the desktop is briefly bring brought to the foreground and on top of the modules.

Running: Windowblinds, WinFX, CursorFX, Firefox, Photoshop, Skype and Winstep.

Disabled WinFX, still doing it.
Applied Windows Aero with WB. Still doing it.
Applied default cursor, clicked on a module.... Winstep, Windows Explorer and Firefox all crashed!
Reopened Workshelf, everything applied except the shelf. I had to open preferences and enable the shelf (the box was unchecked for some reason). No flashing.
Reapplied a cursor, no flashing.
Reapplied a WB, Photoshop crashed(dammit, I lost what I was working on!), no flashing.
Enabled WinFX, no flashing.

I'm going to reboot now, see if it does it again.
