Chucky, now for your video. I would have posted about it sooner but had to leave for an appointment.

Having those tabs looks very interesting. I just read up on it. I'm going to try it and see if it's something that I'll find useful.

windy cool. it works for me. now like some of us have said nexus and workshelf have at least 100's of uses.

shagon, gregory deliberately took it to the worst case scenario. i don't buy what he said for a second about himself. as for the word pervert, your a pervert if you stare inadvertently at someones crotch, your a pervert if you tell a dirty joke someone doesn't like, your a pervert if you sleep with someone outside of wedlock, and on and on it goes. only a true ass would automatically go to the extreme as gregory did. as far as i'm concerned what gregory pulled is just about the same as calling someone a racist when you know they're not.

Chucky, I can't figure how to open Clover with more than one saved tab like in your video.

I want to put it on Workshelf and have the tabs open to whatever I have them saved as.

If you remember my video, I have my desktop icons on Workshelf. My desktop icons are set to hide.

with clover you open each tan individually. you cannot set a group of tabs to open by clicking a single icon. it's like browser tabs. in you browser you click a link and it opens in a new tab, you have to drag that tab away from you tab bar to have it become a separate browser window. clover works the same way. open anything that will open an windows explorer window, then click anything else you want that opens a windows explorer window and that second one will be tabbed to the first one. now for what you want windy the only way i get the explorer window with the three tabs to launch every time i logon is to simply have "restore previous folders at logon" enabled, and always leave that tabbed set of folders open.

edit:

windy in other words i have no saved tabs, but there are bookmarks under settings that may work for what you want. i honestly haven't played with that yet.

Couldn't respond yesterday. Was busy with family. Chucky, can you do me a favor and see if there is way to do it via bookmarks since you're familiar with the program and I'm not?

I'll still try and see what I can do. Clover works really well for dragging and dropping a lot of files into another folder different than the parent folder the file is in.

All I have to do is drag the folder to the other tab and it opens that folder to be dragged to where you want it instead of having to go back and forth with separate windows the regular way. Cool! :D

Oh BTW, this just reminded me. I forgot what keys to press to drag a PNG or other file (forgot the other ones that do that) to prevent it from changing the icon on the dock if dragged there so it goes into the folder instead.

if your talking about dragging say "xyz.any extention" or any folder into another on the shelf i just right the item drag it over the folder i want it in then release the mouse button. then when asked if i want to copy or move the item i select the action i want. no need to use a keyboard shorcut to do it.

o.k. i don't know if this is what you want, but here goes. i opened my normal tabs that i mentioned before, righclicked and selected bookmark all, then chose to save to the bookmark bar, closed each tab, opened desktop shortcuts, rightclicked on the new folder on the bm bar, clicked open all and they were opened in new tabs.

skagon / jorge can one of you please start a new thread for windy and me with the post from here that are really off topic for this thread. thanks and please pm us the new thread.

edit: windy yeah clovers drag and drop feature between tabs is one of the best features. it saves so much time. i actually looked at a couple of tabbed explorer programs and for me clover is the one i like.

I'm frustrated! I've been trying to locate the file/folder that I thought Clover would make when a bookmark is made but to no avail. I can see the little folder icon on the bookmarks bar.

Once located, I was going to try to drag and drop it in Workshelf or the dock. I even changed the settings that hide the protected system files thinking I would find it then. Does anyone know where it is and how to access it? It would be really nice if I could get that to integrate with Winstep Xtreme.

Skagon, can you copy (not move since it might ruin that thread) Chucky's video from the other thread and put it at the beginning of this one? It would make it easier for others to know what I'm talking about. It will also make it easier for me too to look at again.

Sorry mate, I can't copy a post. I can only move it and I don't want to do that, since it'll leave the other thread missing a post.
I suppose Chucky could re-post it here.

Were you able to find the actual file/folder? Not the one on the bookmarks area, but elsewhere on the PC since the one in the bookmarks area cannot be dragged.

Jorge and Skagon, both of you are familiar with computer programming stuff. Do either of you have any idea why a file or folder cannot be found for the bookmarks in the Clover program?

I think that if that folder or file in Clover could be located I might be able to drag and drop it in Workshelf or on the dock so that the tabs that are saved can be accessed without running as Chucky described.

windy it's not that uncommon. look at firefox just for example you can not drag the bookmark tool bar wherever you want it. and yes even though it says tool bar it is a folder.
