Remove file description when mouse over an icon of the dock

I wonder, is it possible to remove file description when mouse is over an icon of the dock? Screenshot is below

under dock properties go to appearance and uncheck show icon labels on mouseover.

jorge you have mouseover as 2 word, because of the style of words it is one word just like rightclick or liftclick are each 1 word.

It actually is unchecked.

When checked - name of the app appears for a couple of sec

I./KG40_Razor since it's unchecked, check it, click apply and ok, exit out of preferences, now go back in and recheck it, apply and ok, exit out of preferences. hopefully that does the trick.

EDIT:

click the more options button in the preference you see on the left in my image, then you'll see show balloon information tooltips on mouseover after a short delay?.
