I can't seem to get any modules to show up in the Workshelf's desktop modules area. Like the Taskbar on the NextStart Preferences Taskbar tab Workshelf's desktop modules area (4). Does this functionality only work on certain themes?

No, but I think the way this works is obviously not clear enough.

What NextSTART puts in the taskbar are *existing* WorkShelf *desktop* modules.

So, in order for this to work, WorkShelf must be running *and* those must be visible on the desktop. To give this a try, right click on any module -> Desktop Modules -> Open All Modules.

This will put all modules on the desktop. Now you can right click on the desktop module you want and select 'Attach to NextSTART' from the context menu. You can do the same to detach the module from the taskbar.

Please let me know how it worked, and, if you have any ideas for me to make the process more intuitive/clear, I'm all ears. :)

Thank you for replying so promptly,
I did as you suggested it does reserve the space on the taskbar and put in separators for each module but they remain blank. nextstart.exe and workshelf.exe on both running in task manager. I assume I am missing a setting somewhere.

Thank you for the help.

And what happens to the desktop modules themselves? They disappear?

Check the z-order of both the taskbar and the modules, make sure they match.

Do you have the taskbar set to capture the desktop modules as icons?

I'm not sure if I understand the OP's question, but if I do, would right click on the WorkShelf > WorkShelf > Preferences > Modules tab > select which module in the pulldown > More Options > tick the box "Show this module in all shelves and tabs" > Okay > Apply, solve the problem?

The modules are still visible on the Desktop, I have the z-index of the modules and taskbar always on top. Capture the desktop modules as icons is unchecked.

Show this module in all shelves and tabs is checked.

Still get this:

Windy, no, he actually wants to attach the desktop modules to the NextSTART *taskbar* (and Xtreme allows you to do this).

Not sure what the problem might be either, I try it here and it works just fine...

Something is obviously not working right there, but I will need your help to figure out what might be causing the problem. Try different variations of the settings... does it work if you set it to capture the modules as icons? Does it work with other themes? Etc...

That is irrelevant for this...

Well, if you tried my suggestions for different settings to see what happens and gave me that feedback that might give me a clue to what is going on.

I can't fix it unless I can reproduce it here. It's the only way to figure out what might be going on.

Also, in that screenshot, is the Net Meter module the one that is supposed to have been captured onto the taskbar but is instead on the desktop? Or the module simply disappears as soon as you capture it?
