From the list of modules above, select two which you would like to see implemented first. :D

I know, I know, it's not on the list ... but how about a module to capture and skin toolbars? For instance, I'd like to use both a Clipmate toolbar and A file-indexing search bar like Google or Copernic, but these aren't captured in the Startbar (unless I'm missing something...).

The ability to email check msn hotmail. The HTTP protocol, which today is NOT supported by the email checker. :(

It's still too early to tell, but it's funny because I thought most votes would go for a VDM.

Burt, capturing toolbars into the NS Startbar shouldn't be too difficult (err) but skinning them is the problem. They would probably look like sh*t in most cases.

TheDude, you make it sound like it's my fault and I'm doing it on purpose simply because I'm lazy. :D HTTP is NOT a Mail protocol, it's a protocol designed to display web pages. The Email checker is a module designed to check for the arrival of new messages using the established email protocols (POP3, IMAP) - it is NOT, nor was it ever intended to be, a web browser.

If anybody has to provide support for something regarding Hotmail (eg. POP3) is Microsoft, not Winstep. From what I've read, if you pay THEM money they will allow you to use the Winstep mail checker to check for new messages, as well as use other email clients to read your messages there.

Ooops, forgot to add the all important calendar. I think you can still change your vote, if you prefer that to whatever you voted on previously.

I can't change my vote (that I can see anyhow). A calendar would be cool! I wouldn't change my vote, but it would be very cool! :)

I voted for the calendar, but I'm not really sure why. Rainlendar actually works pretty well, and even interfaces with Outlook's calendar to display appointments. What I'd really like to do is get rid of the two things I use SysMetrix for, one of which is MP3 player control. The other is the zoom window with mouse position and color under the cursor (zoom window shows the area around the mouse cursor, at higher magnification, useful when working with graphics).

One thing I'd like to see: A new weather module with more cities (enter zip code), one that updates regularly instead of once an hour and one that shows the forecast.

Jorge

I'm not complaining or saying anyone is lazy. I do have Hotmail Plus. My normal email client is Incredimail and it has no problems retrieving my msn hotmail. :)

Incredimail is using HTTPMail (WebDAV), an extension to the HTTP protocol, to comunicate with Hotmail. Incredimail is a full blown email client, so it makes sense for it to support this protocol - on the other hand, how many Winstep customers are actually using paid Hotmail accounts? My guess is that only you are. :D

Implementing HTTPMail at this point would be a waste of resources, since this feature would be useless in accessing the free hotmail accounts used by basically everyone else. I also don't have a paid hotmail account, something that would make it quite dificult for me to test this feature.

I was wondering ? I have too much time on my hands during the day it seems ;). Is it possible to have a poll on the main WinStep website? You'd get far more responses to your question I imagine. Whether they'd be relevant or not I don't know :?.

Jorge, I, too, would like to be able to do a 5-day forecast (or some such) for the weather module. And I'd love it if I could have it use other weather stations, such as the ones available from http://www.wunderground.com/ instead of just airport stations. I have a local weather station less than a mile from my house, while the nearest airport is quite a distance from me. For people that live in the boonies, this might be especially helpful.

With the 7.4 release guess we don't need weather forecast in that module request list anymore...

If this is still a live list, then:

An RSS reader would be nice. I would use that before a calander myself. Also, the search bar being available for copernic would be a grand thing, it's the only thing I miss.
