Hi, I’ve been modifying my toolbar and decided to create a sub-dock to store my games there. However, I’m not really fond of the arrow that appears at the top right of the icon. Is there any way to remove it? Thanks!

Currently the only way is to place a blank (i.e. fully transparent) "nxsubc.png" 16x16 pixel bitmap in that dock's theme folder.

Ok, for next release added a "Hide sub-dock indicators" setting to the Dock Properties -> Behavior tab -> Sub-Docks settings panel.

This will hide the sub-dock indicators provided the 'Allow attaching sub-docks to existing application shortcuts' setting above it is NOT enabled (as, if it is, to open a sub-dock you must actually click on the little sub-dock indicator, which therefore must always be visible).

THANK YOU! It's exactly what I was looking for. I agree with what you mentioned about adding the option to remove the arrow in future updates; it gives the dock a cleaner look, and it's always nice to have more customization options.

But this is completely counter-intuitive and makes a bit of a nonsense of the whole thing, no? At least, that's how I see it. It means having to use a sub dock icon in order to have a sub dock, surely.

There is such a thing as too much choice, Jorge, too many options. Look what that's done to society as a whole - a right f*** up! :(

No it is not. There is such a thing as too much of a good thing. This is one of those IMO.

It's ok, I understand the "cleaner look", not the first time I have been asked this, and this option is buried in a secondary dialog - plus people will know which shortcuts in their docks actually lead to sub-docks.

Also, the option cannot be used when it is actually really necessary (i.e. when the ONLY way to open the sub-dock is to click on the sub-dock indicator).

Yes, I get all that Jorge. I'd also anticipate that it will lead to a helluva lot of confusion amongst the uninitiated. Wait till the brown stuff hits the fan! ;) An option too far, I still think.
